MedXpiryTracker is an iOS app developed by Nitin Ramachandran ("we", "us", or "our"). The app helps you track medicine expiry dates using on-device text recognition and local notifications.
We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
All data you enter into MedXpiryTracker — including medicine names and expiry dates — is stored exclusively on your device using iOS's encrypted local storage. This data never leaves your device.
We do not use iCloud sync, third-party databases, or any remote server to store your information.
MedXpiryTracker requests camera access only when you tap the Scan button. The camera is used to capture medicine label images for text recognition. This processing is performed entirely on-device using Apple's Vision framework. Images are not saved to your photo library, uploaded to any server, or retained after the scan is complete.
You can revoke camera access at any time in iOS Settings. The app will still function — you can enter medicine details manually.
The app requests permission to send local notifications when you save your first medicine entry. Notifications are generated and delivered entirely by iOS — no data is sent to any external server to trigger them. You can revoke notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.
MedXpiryTracker does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. There are no third-party trackers in the app.
MedXpiryTracker does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected, the app is safe to use regardless of age.
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date at the top. As the app does not collect your contact information, we cannot notify you directly of changes.
